Mark your calendars! The Braking Zone celebrates its opening with a Grand Opening Weekend from September 26-28, 2025. We’re celebrating with three days of racing excitement, community fun, and the chance to win prizes!

Grand Opening Weekend Schedule

We are proud to announce that we have been accepted by an artist and will be on the Whiteaker Art Walk route for their last walk of the year! We will have Arable Brewing on-site as well as Lot Dawgs with food and drink for sale. Stop by to race, see the art, or just grab some food!

Friday, September 26 @ 5:00 PM

Kick off the weekend at our Grand Opening Party including a popup from our friends at Arable Brewing (https://www.wearearable.com/) and Lot Dawgs! The party atmosphere will be outdoors, but the Sim Center itself welcomes racers of all ages - minors are welcome to experience our state-of-the-art racing simulators. Join us for:

• First look at our high-end racing simulators.
• Meet fellow racing enthusiasts from the Eugene community
• Sign up for the weekend’s Grand Opening Hotlap Challenge
• Refreshments provided by Arable Brewing (21+ for brewery area)
• Tour our facility and learn about upcoming events

Saturday & Sunday - Grand Opening Hotlap Challenge

Put your skills to the test in our inaugural Grand Opening Hotlap Challenge! This special weekend competition runs through Sunday at 6 PM, with the overall winner taking home a prize package (details TBD - but trust us).

Challenge Features:

• Open to all experience levels.
• Multiple qualifying sessions throughout the weekend.
• Championship race for top 6 drivers, Sunday at 5 PM.
• Prize ceremony immediately following the final race.

Challenge Rules

1. Standard Terms of Service and Waiver apply
2. Only full laps raced on the chosen track and vehicle count for the competition
3. A valid email address must be provided in order to track laps
4. One 15-minute session, per customer, will be considered for the competition (you say when)
5. Track limits and lap rules are enforced by software (Assetto Corsa)

The track and car will be… Brands Hatch driving the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Winners will be announced at 5pm on Sunday, September 28.

First Prize: A one-month Unlimited Membership at The Braking Zone!

Second and Third Prize: Your choice of a Cell Phone Charger or a Car Charger… Second Place chooses first!
